A point away is never a bad thing – plus Chris Powell news

Firstly Chris Powell after just two weeks as interim coach to fill in for Garry Waddock has left Walsall. He has took the opportunity to help Jack Wiltshire as he takes his first steps into management with League One Luton Town. Ben Sadler did comment that Chris Powell would be with us for the foreseeable future, maybe he needs a new crystal ball.

As for the game on Saturday, Walsall struggled first half and if it wasn’t for the superb rearguard from Rico Browne, Aden Flint, Evan Weir and the outstanding Myles Roberts the game would have been over by half time. It was great to see Connor Barrett get the equaliser but it would have been a steal if we had got the three points.

S&S Steelstock Performance Rating – 7/10 largely for the improved performance 2nd half

Man of the Match – after further deliberation and comments on the channel, i will switch from Flint to Myles Roberts

Moment that made me smile – was the overhead kick attempt from Aden Flint (please dont tell him!)
