A poor christmas period for Walsall, after a credible but uninspiring 0-0 at Notts County, Walsall defeated Crewe 1-0 at home on Boxing Day, but a last minute goal the following Monday at home to Oldham, meant defeat at home for the saddlers and brought the chasing pack closer.
The following tough away game at in form Cambridge who hadn’t lost at home since 6th Sept, brought another defeat and Walsall dropped to third. Not a complete disaster, but with the dreaded January Transfer Window starting, all Walsall fans are worried the joy may be over.
